One you are familiar with one third-party Twitter application, it is relatively easier to learn how to use another one. TweetDeck and HootSuite, for instance, share a similar layout and rely on the use of buttons or icons for accessing functions. When in doubt, you can typically hover your mouse over a mystery icon to read a preview of what the icon's function is.
