The Grundig TK140 DeLuxe reel-to-reel!

Let's take a look at one of those typical semi-portable reel-to-reels Grundig sold billions of during the 60s and 70s!
This is a video I made a couple of months ago. I don't think it's perfect, but it's a lot like my very old videos, so maybe you're still going to like it.
This was shot on the JVC GZ-HD7 camcorder.

Very nice Grundig! Quality and built to last. I still don't quite understand why some people throw stuff like this out!

I had this in the past as a tube type one.

I think this was one of their first transistorized units, it has all Germanium transistors.

I once sent off for a reel of tape but it was too big to fit on a Grundig TK 141 I have. I didn"t know the correct size but someone gave me 2 reels which do fit.

I often find reel to reel recorders at the local auction for a couple of pounds/eros and even if they don"t actualy play the power always comes on. I will put some photos of them here soon.

I got some of that old stock BASF reel tape that you have on that machine at the flea market.  It's pretty good stuff! Nice machine. Thanks for sharing.
