Liason Scenes 8/6/2002: After Liz is Shot

Jason gets to GH before Liz is discharged. He tells Liz her safety depends on leaving PC. Liz asks him if he wants her to go, b/c she wants to be where he is. Zander shows up. Tony gives Liz medicine & instrustions. Zander takes Liz to the studio, instead of Jason. (angst)

At the time I remember being very upset when liz and Jason didn't pan out, in fact I stopped watching the show for a very long time because of it, but now I think it was to give them a real shot now. If they had gotten together then, it would have worked out like his relationships with courtney and sam: 1-2 years together then horrible ending. But this way they can maybe really end up together without the baggage of a past relationship.

I don't understand what the writers were trying to do with them back then. Every time they got close the writers made sure something happened to keep them apart. I wonder if they didn't have faith in them as a couple or what? I guess we get the last laugh though...all those years of friendship and angst are paying off now!
