Esky Lama V4 - Custom Tail Boom Flight

Since the last video showing the prototype tail boom I made, I have added a better tail fin. Here I am flying the Esky Lama V4 with the custom tail to show how it handles. I find it flies a lot better with the new tail compared to the stock one. It seems more agile and cuts through the air quicker. :O)

Not bad It handles pretty nicely with all the mods. Next you should try to find a way to make it shoot something.

lol. there is a video on youtube of a guy firing little (firework) rockets from a Lama or CX2 i think it was, i can't find that one just now. if you search for "Helicopter rocket firing" you'll see a cool one of a guy doing 3d while firing rockets.

lol, yup had a scrape with the wall. the new tail boom can bend up which helps with such incidents a little, lol.

i need to fit some struts maybe though as if it bends up too far it hits the blades. :O(

i will probably use a black rubber band as the struts. i have seen this on some of the kits you can buy. that way the tail will still move a bit but not enough to hit blades, i hope. :O)

might get too much flex with bands mate might i recommend string or fishing real wire (not really into fishing so dunno what that stuffs called) should flex abit but be much more rigid than rubber
