Why are people wasting time comparing two incredibly talented songwriters... Ryan Adams isn't Bob Dylan and Bob Dylan isn't Ryan Adams. There is nothing to compare.

Oberst, Adams, Petty, Springstein, Dylan, Elliot, Guthrie...believe me the list goes way back....are all part of a continuum that has branched out from the previous generations.....the latter wouldn't have happened without the inspiration of the former...and the former matters more because of the artists that they have inspired who have come into their own. Your opinion really only matters to you....but if you miss the point that I've made then you really miss the spirit of music through time.

i've always wondered how this session was recorded, the guitars sound warm, the bass round and precise,and the drums are just rolling forever ! Perfect acoustic sound for my ears, but i can't figure out the way it's done. I guess it's part of the magic !

Ah yes, the benefit concert Ryan masterminded for the ivory coast. Sadly, the locals thought they were a band of globe-trotting hobos and the concert was a bust. They did manage to collect 30$ for the show, but were later mugged that same night while in a herion induced stupor. His heart was in the right place...Keep the dream alive Ryan.

This is such a cool song. I wish i could have been there to see them perform this. It seems like theyre having such a good time and its always awesome to see a group get along that well. Ryan has so much talent, hes been influenced by all the greats and im sure he will inspire many more great artists to come. I cant wait to see what he does next.
