This recipe never disappoints. It is one of Bryanna Clark Grogan's signature recipes and appears in most of her cookbooks. It's perfect on nights you're too busy to cook but still want something satisfying to chow down. I always have some extra-firm tofu slices marinating in the fridge.

  • would you be able to use somthing more heathly in ur recipes? i dnt want to use flavour enhancers or msg.

  • @MissJen27 This is a healthy recipe. There's no msg. Just nutritional yeast, which adds a great flavor, protein and lots of B12.

  • Definitely don't substitute regular yeast for the nutritional yeast. They are very different things. Look online or in bulk bins at well-stocked grocery and health food store.

  • @WEwalked I always freeze the firm tofu because it changes the texture of it. Defrost, then cook. It's one of those things that ppl. don't mention.

    When the tofu freezes, it makes cracks in it and when it's defrosted, it can be squeezed like a sponge!:)

  • What kind of extra-firm tofu are you getting? I always have to press it, or else it crumbles. :(

    I trust you are smiling or at least understand the spirit of my comment ...it's kind of like Breast of tofu?!? ...what's up with that?!? ...vegetarians eating breast of any sort?!? ...incidently I've enjoyed marinated firm tofu for years and simply called it 'marinated tofu'
