The fourth part of a Kessen III mock run that was completed in 2:35.

Another defeat boss map and my movement is a bit sloppy. Oh well.

Random facts for those who don't know the game: Nobunaga Oda is using a Hundredth Plane horse, which boosts movement by 15 points. This is used for a very long time, because I skip the upgrade to Black Cloud (+20).

Also, Naginata (female cavalry) are faster than their male counterparts. They lose a few points in strength/defense in exchange, but that hardly matters.

  • Maybe a stupid question here, but why forego strength and defence for speed? U can hit alot harder, so wouldnt that be better?

  • I don't remember the exact numbers (and I'm too lazy to check), but I assume the slight strength/defense reduction isn't a huge deal.

Generally though, I think travel time is more important than making the actual fight a few seconds quicker. Lots of ground to cover in this game, you know?

So you play more for a speed run. However, if someone wanted to just annihalate the enemy, (which is normally my tactic, male would be better yes?

  • I'm not completely sure. Speed is pretty important for a cavalry unit, because I think it affects trample/charge damage. Also, if you clash with another unit, the faster one wins.

If you like to stand still and go toe-to-toe with enemies, then no doubt male wins. It doesn't really make sense to fight that way with cavalry though, you know?

(That's what lancers are for. Ho ho ho.)
