@gralswacht Born slightly later here (1973) but I still experienced (and still do!) all the great bands from back then. And as you are from Germany, should I mention some great bands from your country or are you going to? Cheers!

I loved Bauhaus and Love And Rockets, also Tones On Tail - i'm born in 1966. I also liked to listen to This Mortal Coil and Dead Can Dance - Who else made the same "expirience"?

Wow...got here expecting to find Double / Captain of her Heart from ebay auction but found this great TOT track I used to play on radio years ago !. And yes, all three projects are great plus individual projects of the Bauhaus members.

@drogheda1966 Thanks. That's an interesting take. I love these lyrics - I'm a sucker for enigmatic, 'higher' or more poetic lyrics. And I didn't know abt the hash-fuelled songwriting. :)

@RainPoetry A view of love filtered through a barrier of unreality. Daniel Ash wrote all the lyrics for T.o.T. fueled on hash and used the altered consciousness to freeze moments in his mind. It's a love song describing intense highs, lows and frustrations.

T.o.T's 'Album Pop' is on my Desert Island List because it is beautiful and a bit scary and completely unique. After the break-up of Bauhaus Daniel Ash wanted to create music that would sound 'otherworldly'.

Ok. For some reason, I do prefer Tones on Tail over Bauhaus or Love and Rockets. Don't get me wrong, there. All awesome stuff. But the Tones have that "special" place.
