Rabin Memorial Day in Israeli Religious Schools

Yesodot- The Center for Torah and Democracy developed an educational program for use in Israeli religious schools to honor the memory of former Prime Minister, Yitzchak Rabin. The program which is designed with the special concerns of the religious community in mind, emphasizes Judaism's commitment to democracy and the rule of law. The central message of the program is Yes To Protest, No To Violence, even when the government makes decisions that conflict with your deeply held beliefs.

The Rabin Memorial Day Program is just one of many different programs Yesodot offers Israeli religious elementary and high schools on the subject of Judaism and democratic values. Through in-service training programs for teachers and innovative curricula for students, Yesodot seeks to stregthen the Israeli religious community's committment to democracy and democratic values.
