  • @350drifting

I sent you a private msg with some links.

  • Yeah living in the U.S. i never really think about how it would be in a different country, (excluding Japan, i would love living in Japan ).

Do you know any good sites with parts for a KA24E? Seems like the single cam doesn't get any love. I don't really want to hassle with a DE swap. Maybe some of the parts are interchangeable between the two?

  • @350drifting

yes thats what I mean, you have access to a lot of s13 parts both used and from dealerships since the 240sx was sold in the US. As soon as you go JDM things start getting expensive and hard to get. So you're luckier than you might think :-)

  • No no no. I love these cars, and i love sliding them around. Well once i get some more cash i can actually fix up this car good.

I know i'll break a lot of crap from drifting and beating on it, but hey, you can pick up a used KA for $200-$500 So im not complaining....well maybe just a little.

  • @350drifting

I know how you feel, you want to put the right parts on it, but they are so damn expensive. Eventhough my car is fully modified, things break and needs replacing - if I want to keep it JDM I can only get parts from the UK, the States or Japan(which is troublesome to say the least). Having something as rare as a 93 Silvia is really cool, but if you want to use it or race it, go with a domestic market car.

  • Yes yes I've been into these cars for many years so i know quite a bit about them also.

I didn't take notice that the driver was on the right side, it was hard to tell until i watched again and saw him spinning the wheel.

So yes that is a real Silvia.

Ugh i wish i was lucky enough to have that kind of money. I'm in the middle of paying off this little white 89 hatch for $1500. I love it but it would need so much work that i just cant give it it's potential at all.

    Someday...

Youre right a 240sx Coupe with a silvia front conversion would look excactly like this, but they are LHD. I doubt he would go through the trouble of a RHD conversion. The turbo mods suggest SR20DET which are standard on the PS13, 240sx has a KA24DE non-turbo standard.

Thanks for the comments on my car, I'm really happy with it myself - its increadibly fun to drive the SR20DET is a dream for a car thats about 1000kg.

  • I'm glad you're lucky enough to own one, But it could simply be a 240sx coupe with a front end conversion. A lot of people still call them Sil80's instead of Sil40's.

Though he does say he's from the UK so you may be right.

Damn you're lucky, i just saw your videos. Very nice car.

  • I guess he doesn't really know what a Sil80 is then. Its a 180SX with the Silvia front conversion. 180SX are fastback, the Silvia PS13 is Coupe like this one and only come as RHD. The one in the video rolled out of the factory like that, no front conversion has been made. That model was sold exclusively in japan(JDM).
