Lux Aeterna or "Eternal Light" is a prayer to almighty God to give departed souls eternal rest, and to shine His perpetual light on them. Fittingly, the song is performed in a prayerful, solemn manner with an extended final "Amen". Listen out for the bright, sparkling chords that symbolize light and radiance.
