  • GEE this was so helpful.. I would have never figure that out by clicking around... you are stupid... What people want to know is how in the fuck you set baldness ...anyways... nice try stupid.

  • @ledarksparck You should probably review my other tutorials to find the answer to your baldness question...however, it appears that you can't figure out how to navigate You-Tube so there's not much I can do for you there....I think you are probably the most crass Canadian I have have ever encountered...if you are so smart and know it all why are you watching these tutorials...I would assume it is to learn you ungrateful waste of oxygen.

  • @deepfriedectoplasm LOL WE STAY PWNING hahaha jkjk don't get angry at the dude forgive him and don't let guys like this get to you :)

  • @SweaterSwagg Yeah....I love it when someone makes a stupid comment....it gives me a chance to zing one back....and it feels good too! Glad you are watching and learning! Stay cool!

  • hello, i´m Florencia from Buenos Aires. I work with 3d max and now i´m studing maya 2011. Thanks a lot for your contribution to my study!!!! you are great!!! i have a cuestion, may be you can help me.... When i render just a frame with fur, i can watch the fur in the render frame, but, if a put bach render for can watch the all animation, the fur is not in render view, so i just can watch the ball, without the fur, what can i do it???? thanks a lot! i´m waiting for your answer

  • @florcinefilia Hello! Normally when you create a batch render of a sequence there is not an option to watch each individual frame as it renders. When all of the frames are rendered in a sequence you must open the sequence in a program like Adobe After Effects. You can open the image sequence with Mayas FCheck application but it's sort of "wonky" and stutters a lot when playing back a sequence. However you can use the FCheck "save as movie" option to make a movie clip. Hope that helps. STU

  • @florcinefilia Use mental ray to render the fur instead. its much easier to set up and there arent as many variables to consider, well for the fur at least. plus you can get some GI lighting going and make the fur look alot more realistic.

  • @Nantchev You can use all sorts of furs because essentially they are paint effects strokes that you selectively paint. From Maya 2009 on, nDynamics are native to Maya and show up in the Main menu sets and don't need to be activated. Hope that helps.

  • @Nantchev Grass is a Paint Effects Stroke that can be found in the Paint Effects Visor, just go to the Paint Effects Menu - Get Brush - (the visor will open) and go to the grass folder and choose a grass brush and paint where you want. I'm sorry, I don't think it's clear in the tutorial and I will add annotations to clarify. Thanks for noticing! STU

  • Is grass in the hair tab?
