@jxsilicon9 the term survival horror is fairly hard to truly attach to a game since all horror games have some type oof survival (hell all action games are about survival). Dead Space is closer than any other game on the list, but its still debatable

@cjjtheone I've never said RE came out earlier than AITD, but RE is often considered the first real survival-horror. Alone in the Dark was at the time considered an creepy adventure game.

@orven1995 you donk know what your talking about. alone in the dark started on DOS pc way before the playstation came out, 3 games were released then after resident evil came out AITD 4 or a new nightmare came out aswell. alone in the dark is the oldest survival horror.

@cjjtheone nah Alone in the Dark wasn't really a pure survival-horror. When RE1 was released in 1996, the genre 'survival-horror' was born, so why should RE have a other genre than the genre it created? And I agree that RE has more action than Silent Hill, but it still don't have much action (maybe RE3 had)

@orven1995 what does kinda did mean? ofcorse it did. RE would be better of having its own genre because the it doesnt cater to one type of audience like silent hill. (2, 3 and code veronica have lots of action)
