dude...get your basics correct....you are calculating percentage and not percentile...

I mean no disrespect. There was no need to multiply by 5 and then divide by 5! That was 2 extra steps that were not needed! And I'm looking for "Percentile"... not percentage!! :)

why is it relevant that you have taught college math when you are teaching 4th grade math, this is not what a percentile is, its a percentage!!!!!!!!!

Actually you can just do 2/5 and you wil get 0.4 wich is 40%

can someone tell me the difference with percentage and percentiles. I always thought they were the same thing since they had the same word percent in it.

this is so complicated, just divide the numerator by the denominator and x by a 100
