I thought I would try a new technique of controlled drip painting. Making abstract portraits without touching the canvas in certain areas etc...this is the result...I may do more. What do you think?

  • this is amazing! i just have a quick question.. i'm a total amateur painter.. i just picked up a brush today for the first time in years. i'm trying to get the paint to drip like that and i've been messing around for ages, but NO LUCK! what do you use to make it drip like that? thanks so much!

  • @misstwink I use a lot of water mixed with the paint to get the drips. I use ordinary house paint, acrylics....good luck with it!

  • One of my old faves, I love the mixture of spontaneous creation and focused vision... the result is always something great

  • thanks Andrea! glad you enjoyed it....I will be making more drip paintings once the nice weather comes. My art room is an ice box in the winter!!!!

  • dope, im try some of that in my work

  • go for it and have fun!
