The deadmau5 head that I made and took to the concert at Soldier Field in Chicago! The thing on the ear is the backstage pass that Deadmau5 personally gave me himself, Joel and his manager both said it was one of the best one's that they have ever seen, and it was only the first one, of many to come, that I have ever made. He signed the back of the head, "Dood, best head EVER! Mau5 Joel Zimmerman"! He also wore it on stage during his set!

I move around so much to demonstrate the stability and perfect fit of the Mau5head, which is fully ajdustable, so anyone can wear it!!!

Sorry, the Tutorial video is taking longer than expected. In the mean Time here is a list of materials that I used to make this:

1 x 14" acrylic globe (I got mine from www.superiorlighting.com)
1 x 13' legth of sound activated EL wire (www.thatscoolwire.com) (with optional 12v battery pack)
1 x 17' legth of sound activated EL wire (I also bought clear plastic mounts for the mouth off of the same website) (also with optional additional 12v battery pack)
1 x Fully adjustable Hard hat (from Lowe's or similar)
2 x Skyballs for the eyes (from wallmart or similar)
1 x 1.5" thick insulation foam board (I got this from Lowe's, it only came in like a 4'x8' sheet)
1 x 0.5" thick styrofoam board (same deal as the insulation foam)
4 x threaded rods (about 1/4-3/8" thick, and at least 6" long)
16 x washers for the rods
16 x nuts for the rods
4-6 yds of fabric
0.5 yds sheer fabric (for the mouth)
1 x chicken wire (for the mouth)
Sewing pins (optional, thats what you see around the edges of the ears)
Electrical tape
Velcro

Tools needed:
1 dremel (to cut the mouth and drill holes for the ears and eyes)
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Epoxy (to hold the eyes and other parts on)
Spray adhesive (for the fabric)
Fabric measureing tape (to make lines and marks on the globe)
Grease pencil or sharpie to mark the globe

Dimentions:
the Head is 14" spherical
The ears are roughly 15" x 13" x 1.5"
The mouth is 22" wide, and opens up 7"
The neck hole is 8" across (can vary depending on your head size)
The eys are just skyballs, and they are about 4" in diameter
The ears are spaced 5 inches apart at the top
NOTE: For the fabric it is best to make sure you get something with a 4 way stretch, especially for the head. For the ears you can get away with a two way stretch, but trust me, its a bitch.
