The FBI is spying on you and other peaceful Americans, rather than doing its job and ensuring public safety. The PATRIOT Act and other laws enable these growing abuses. Join the Bill of Rights Defense Committee and raise your voice to restore your rights and preserve democracy in America.

  • DHS has recently gone as far as to issue alerts to law enforcement officials to keep an eye on Ron Paul supporters and Patriots as possible TERRORISTS too! If you speak for Liberty and Freedom now, they keep an eye on you. Come to Truth Fest 2011 see truth fest dot org

  • Doesn't seem that there are very many of us Americans fighting back, as this unconstitutional law has been in effect for nearly 10 years now. Children born in 2001 will have grown up with the surveillance cameras and the Soviet-style policing. Soon, only a few of us will remember what the US was like b4, and we'll be accused of endangering the masses by suggesting these "security" measures be removed.

  • All Power to the People

  • They aren't just doing it - still - to groups they disagree with, they're doing it to individuals who are put on Threat Assessment lists. Look up Targeted Individual and you'll see that they are using Cointelpro tactics as well as Organized Stalking & Electronic Harassment on individuals they don't like. I'm one of them. They isolate you, smear you, lie about you, do 24/7 surveillance, etc, then label you as mentally ill if you complain or get angry at them. It's psychopaths on steroids.

  • @PurrGrrl: I could not agree more. FWIW we at the Bill of Rights Defense Committee work with thousands of concerned Americans like you all over the country to help them raise their voice. Please contact us if you're looking for ways to get involved in the struggle to restore civil liberties.

  • The Intel agencies are living and working in an echo chamber where all they see and hear is War On Terror. To them, or to all the field people I've heard about, rights are just something to get around any way they can. I KN OW the DEA and DOJ often act "independently of the Constitution." If they decide to go after someone, no "mere legality" is going to stand in their way. That's an attitude NO civilization can tolerate in law enforcement! "We had to destroy it to save it" always was obscene!

  • I can remember back when I worked ambulance a cop complaining that "All these civil rights are just a way to hassle cops trying to do their jobs!" He was serious. As far as he was concerned, if those he dealt with didn't know their rights, he wasn't ABOUT to give them any. Let people tell him they were exercising their right to do something though, and he'd get livid! If he could find a way around it he would - and did! It's a thousand times worse now - we get arrested for belief in our rights!

  • I'm a 63 year old long time activist, and things weren't too great for me b4 the Patriot Act. Back in 1980s, I assisted some former Black Panthers in setting up an African American Museum in Seattle. Because of my efforts, I was subjected to phone harassment, break-ins, stalking and multiple attempts on my life. I write about the experience in THE MOST REVOLUTIONARY ACT: MEMOIR OF AN AMERICAN REFUGEE. I currently live in exile in New Zealand.
