  • what did you use to make the blanks? other than standard GW miniature bases

  • The bases are just standard GW gaming bases. The tile texture pieces on top are from another mold I did awhile ago of different kinds of floor/wall pieces. You can use almost anything you would normally use when making a base, just make sure it is sealed and you don't have any major undercuts.

  • It really depends on the blanks you are using. Ideally you want a 1/2" space on all sides of the piece you are casting. Here I am able to get them a little closer because of the shape of the blanks. They are conical so the spacing goes for 1/4" at the top of the mold to 1/2" at the bottom. Also Oomoo has good tear resistance so I am not too worried about destroying the mold.

  • Blanks seem pretty close together in the mold. Would that be a problem for someone starting out or does it not matter that much?
