My Thanks to Dr. Richard Shemin

Seven years ago, Jan 7, 2002, Dr.Shemin and his team at Boston Medical Center saved my life. I had a dissecting thoracic aortic aneurysm that would have killed me should I not have had the best care by the best doctors.

I got sick while on vacation in Miami, flew back to Boston and walked into the ER (yes I did) and soon thereafter I was under the knife - a 9 hour open heart procedure. This whole thing was the worst thing that ever happened in my life. But, it was also one of the triumphs of modern medicine and the best excellent care one could ever get over a deadly acute disease: Thanks to Dr. Shemin I got a second chance in life. I got life back. I owe my life to you Dr. Shemin! THANK YOU! And thanks to all of you in his team. Thank you!
