In this lesson I will show you how to funkifize a simple groove using a paradiddle. This is my second video lesson, so let me know what you think, of if you have any questions. And feel free to drop some ideas for more lessons you would like to see. Thanks for watching!

  • i am a begginer i am getting a drum kit and it does not come with a ride i was wondering as a begginer do i really need one is it worth it

  • your snare sounds sweet!

  • very nice bro

  • if that a a custom 20 medium ride we share ride cymbals

  • I am always amazed at how you guys make rudiments sound so great.

Question: how would I establish a half time backbeat using this specific groove AND tempo.

As of recently I am very inspired by the grooves of Will Kennedy (YellowJackets) but can’t figure out a practical method as the patterns are so darn long and quiet.

    Thanks Thomas!

  • Great stuff, but the audio and video could be better synced.

  • I play thrash. i was jammin with my band and my guitar player made this riff. I played this beat along to it and everyone liked it! haha :D

  • Wow. First time seeing this and i LiKEY!!
