Terrible video. The theme / title is "hope." The scenes chosen for the video had nothing to do with that theme; if anything, the scenes depict some of the 'lowest' moments in the LOTR trilogy. Music and content should be harmonious with one another. How hard is it for video creators to understand that concept? 1 star.

I know the lyrics; I was well aware of them when I made my original post. That is my whole point. Good God, what is so difficult to follow here? The point is that the SONG and the SCENES and the TITLE form an INCOHERENT SET.

@ArthurKing1220 If you actually bothered to listen to the lyrics, you would notice that the theme of hope is actually absent. The whole song is about there not being any hope.

@ijtro I fully "get" hope. Hope is based on a fostered prospect of achievement or fulfillment. It can be "active" (as you oddly phrase it) during high or low times. But that is a non sequitur. Neither the images nor the music portray moments inspiring hope, nor do they convey a theme of hope. Hope CAN be found during periods of despair or desperation, but simply depicting such low times does not imply you have depicted "hope." Thanks for playing.

@ArthurKing1220 I don't think you quite get hope. Hope is most active in the low times, when we have to hope that things will get better. Therefore, these scenes are the most hopeful - when the people in them are hoping that they'll get through it all. So it actually does make sense, if you think about it.

You should make another video--you clearly have talent. Call it "despair." Find a new song. Use these image sequences. Then, create a truly "hope" themed LOTR video.

Let's be clear: I think the video images you use are great. I think the song you use is pretty good too. But they don't belong together. And when you don't match your title / music to your images, you fail the test of "coherent theme." Sometimes, putting together individidually good elements doesn't give you a good video. This is an example.

@SirTarabas That's fine, I understand that. All I'm saying is that if you title your video "Hope" and you use a song which is thematically related to the concept of "Hope," you should use images from the movie which are evocative of "hope."
