  • You started your video looking almost south, you ended it looking north east.

  • @GlenESQ U sure? I'll have to take my compass with me next time I go. As well, I have a Much Better camera now, and we'll be able to spot Maple Creek and orientate from that.

  • The cliffs are only like 3 miles from the SK/AB border. He is looking at AB.

  • Oh. Check out stsk(dot)ca for all Skyleo's SK videos.

  • I don't think that's Alberta way over there, I think that's looking north to Maple Creek, Saskatchewan.

  • @GlenESQ On second look, I agree with U. I looked it up on the Google Earth. Thanx for the orientation. (I'm still gonna take my compass, tho). ;)

Hi again. I've been to the cliffs I think 3 times this summer. On one occasion remembered to get a reading with my compass. The end of your video is pointing north. Take care, Glen

  • @SkyleoFiets

    Howdy.

I'm dead sure, I've been there 20+ times, it's a great place to photograph wildflowers.

Google this map of the Cypress Hills Prov Park (sorry don't think I can post a hyperlink in a reply in youtube or I would for you) - IPP map website - Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park

Note the location of the Conglomerate Cliffs lookout. Note Adams Lake lies north-south, parallel to the cliffs. Your video ends looking northeast over Adams Lake.

    Cheers, Glen

  • The Conglomerate cliffs face east towards the east block. Straight behind you is Alberta. If you are viewing the water at the base of the cliffs you're looking East or Northeast.

It's irrelevant how far it is from the border.

Great spot for a video though.

  • Six miles, on my map, but maybe I'm at the far end of the cliffs. Anyway. I agree. Looking off towards Medicine Hat.

  • Don't think so. What the poor little Canon can't show U is Maple Creek off to the north-east passing before the lens well before the sweep of the panorama ends looking north-west, I believe, into AB. ?
