Ipswich Workshops Rail Museum 2009 Australian Model Railway Exhibition - The Coorparoo Layout
HO Scale replica of Coorparoo station on the Cleveland line on QR's Brisbane Suburban "citytrain" network.
Queensland Rail 220 series suburban multiple units can be seen running along the suburban tracks while a Pacific National NR Class locomotive can be seen taking a container train on the dual gauge track to the Port of Brisbane.

* I'm currently filming less waiting for a new computer as it takes a long time and alot of crashes to edit videos :)

  • Can you explain how you were able to have the traffic lights operate with the level crossing as I wish to try this on my train set. Please respond asap.

  • @Jlk2707

I didn't make this layout, send an email to pgcscalemodels@powerup.com.au and bdmloco@bigpond.com as they made it.

    Cheers

  • When I filmed the layout the traffic lights had failed.

  • quite prototypical then :)

  • @JBofBrisbane

    Thank You!

  • @JBofBrisbane

I have no idea what you are talking about but could I run them on my HO/OO tracks?

  • @JBofBrisbane

Oh, okay, but do they run 3-sets in real life?

  • @cityraildude - QR suburban lines HOn3½ - Scale 1:87, gauge 12mm

Third Road dual gauge - HO and HOn3½.

  • @cityraildude - the 6-car sets are made up of two 3-car sets coupled together. 3-car sets running singly would be more common on weekends. This layout probably does not allow enough room to display 6-car sets effectively.

  • What scale is it?

  • Where did you get the QR Citytrains from? Also, do you have 3 car sets in Brisy, when I went up there, they were all 6

  • How did you get the traffic lights to operate in time with the level crossing boom gates?

  • Hey, how did you get the model traffic lights connected to the railway crossing?

  • Hey I got a quick Question. I know QR requiremnts say you need a Open Class C licence and I'm hopefully getting my P1's in 8 Months and I wondering if QR will make acceptions if not can they make exceptions for P2's. I'm just interested in driving trains.. Either Passenger or freight it doesn't really worry me. I just love Trains =)
