Part One of three parts of Patent Law for Inventors & Scientists, includes why to obtain patents, what are patents, what is Freedom To Operate, Infringement and Patentability, Searches and Rights of Patent Owners
@micmccond7 The concept would be an ideal boost to our current patent system; being able to improve the efficiency and bill of materials used in original patents, without running into silly exclusivity issues, especially in cases where health sciences are concerned.
This is insane, at some point the patent system will have to change. Just as new innovations in science build up on old ideas, so too do patents. There's no way future patents will be "original", and secondly, the idea that you may not have the "freedom to operate" causes stagnation in developing new technologies.
I should clarify what angle im coming from before i finish. If you ever played a game called EvE, you'll note that it has an patent researching concept, which cannot be used today.
