Obi Wan telling Luke about his father--the classic Star Wars scene illustrated by flashbacks from Episodes 1-3 that may reflect a different point of view.

Most of what Obi Wan tells Luke about the Force, the Jedi, and Anakin's life is poorly supported by footage from the prequels. Is Palpatine right? Are Jedi just a bunch of manipulative liars? Is it a continuity error? Are these different "truths" equally valid points of view? Or maybe it's just video editing constructing truth through context. Depends on your point of view.

  • he was actually a better person after he was more machine than man

I mean I doubt he went on a second personal child murder spree

  • @GadGades I don't think he was less evil later on, but he was definitely less cowardly and pathetic. Only a coward would slaughter children.

  • Apparently Obi-Wan heard "I HATE YOU!" as "Please remember to give my lightsaber to my son, once he is old enough to have it."

  • From a certain point of view George Lucas is the biggest ASSHOLE in his invented universe and may his stupidness penetrate thru all his fans. :-DDD

  • I bet Lucas uses the whole 'certain point of view' excuse whenever someone questions him on the continuity he ruined with the prequels.

  • Fuck Star Wars

  • This is... really interesting.

  • @GadGades Yeh its not like he aided in blowing up an entire planet or anything...

  • VII-IX to replace EU anyone?

  • Dam Natalie is hot.

  • You know I"m learning telekinesis. I'm trying to make things move.

  • TPM and AOTC sucked balls. ROTS did rock.

  • I'm not entirely sure if this was meant to be critical of the prequel movies or not, but from my point of view this is an excellent summary of the tragedy of Anakin's character. Very well done.
