Day trip to Los Alamos, New Mexico, with our King of the Road, Lesley S. King, to find out just how much science has influenced this city. Head to the Quark Bar, the Black Hole, and Otowi Station Science Museum and Book Shop. For more on Los Alamos, visit: http://www.nmmagazine.com/kingoftheroad_losalamos_feb10.php

  • This has got to be the worst representation of Los Alamos I have ever seen. I makes Los Alamos look like a geeky city with nothing other to offer than science. Truthfully Los Alamos has natural beauty and countless outdoor activities to offer. Next time you hit the road do a little more research than just going to the Chamber of Commerce for your resources....

  • @rythmemaker Thank you for sharing your comment. In a short web video, it is impossible to capture the entirety of a complex, fascinating community like Los Alamos. Our "King of the Road" columnist selected just one aspect of the town to highlight here. We hope that anyone who watches it will be encouraged to visit the town him or herself to discover more.

  • Too bad she didn't duck into the Los Alamos Historical Museum, or Fuller Lodge. Those two places really capture Los Alamos history better than The Black Hole (which honestly most of us consider an eyesore and blight to our community) or the Quark bar. To be sure, we are geeky and nerdy in Los Alamos, but there are also lots of things to do outside, Bandiler Natl Monument just down the road and the Valles Caldera 15 mins to the west.

  • Now being the original patent on haarp is unviewable and most have not seen it. here is a link to the text version brojon.org/frontpage/bj1203pat.html

This is a lot of information on how it works and probably the best available.
