sorry if I have upset you singh ji but im 15yrs old and all i was trying to say was that Gurpreet Singh as well as many other AKJ kirtanees have gotten alot of the youth into paath and kirtan, many of who have taken amrit. So in all fairness I don't think it's right to put down people who have made so many people change their lives for the better.
And I have nothing agianst doing kirtan in raag as I have been learning the dilrubab for 4 yrs now... :)

Actually if you read nitnem you will find much of it written in raag. When you read it for personal pupose that is different because that is PAath and not kirtan.
The Kirtan (singing for the purpose of comunicating the Guru's message) was written in Raags by the Guru's for a reason. You should care about that and learn about it and do it that way.

You think the Guru's were wasting time and effort in arranging the Gurbani to be sung is certain raags. Obviously the Guru's did things that were not necessary right? You are wiser than them in all things gurbani.
