I never taught my American Bulldog how to swim. We use to have a large pool and one day she came hauling ass up onto the deck and flew into the air into the pool lol Ever since than she's loves to go swimming but oddly hates baths.

We adopted our American bulldog at the age of 2 1/2 and she didnt know how to swim. She would literaly stand in the water let her ass float and her head sink!! bizzare!! , didnt take long with us doing swimming lessons with her before she discovered she absolutly loves it.Now everytime we cruise past the beach its a must that we stop.

@leehaa1 Most people give up after a few attempts, thinking that American Bulldogs can't swim, but they do. I'm glad you taught your dog how to swim. They love it!! I have some videos of Bubba swimming now- its one of his favorite things to do.

@Sorionc I finally taught him how to swim about a month back. He loves it so far. But I always have his lifevest on for safety.

he looks just like my first AB check out my videos. all of my ABs hated the water. they all could swim but wouldnt go anywhere near water if they had the choice. My mastiff on the other hand wont get out.
