NP Allen, USMC

My wife's nephew, NP Allen, graduated from the US Marine Corp on 4 April 2008. I shot the video and still pictures and made this movie.

The event was very moving for the families who attend the graduation. The USMC goes to great lengths to involve the families and was very accommodating. There were no dry eyes when the new marines marched in to cheering friends and family.

My father was Cpt.(pilot) USAF. I've had Navy, Army & Marine in my family. Hope you get to see his EGA ceremony/grad. on vid. Your heart swells when you see this volunteer enlistment in times of trouble. The Marines are so respected in the Armed Forces. Not that the others aren't but their training supersedes all others. All the best to your New Marine and his family!

Great Video! Did you get to see the EGA pinning and the Grad. ceremony on DVD/Vid. Talk a/b crying! My son grad. 9/14/07 and they did the EGA ceremony after the crucibles the Marines were whipped & so full of emotion.

Congrats to your new Marine. May God be w/him always!

We did not see the EGA ceremony. We were there for their first "liberty", which was five hours. Then the next day was his last day there and we attended the parade and saw him march with his platoon.

I was amazed at the effort the USMC made for the families. I was USAF and it almost made me wish I was a Marine.

No, we didn't get to see the EGA ceremony. The DI was so impressed with Nic that he gave Nic his EGA. Very moving experience, I'm sure.
