  • Lmao @ helloman

Weres is the charge controller and battery bank ?

@leamyvideo Has to be CE approved in UK and also for grid tie inverter it has to be G83 approved to be connected to the grid nd some grid ties just do solar or just wind /hydro but not both.

  • I don't know how many watts/volts those iverters are good for but I fried one hooking it up to a wind turbine, I think the voltage went up to fast for it. It could have been defective though. It was a Sun 250 watt GTI.

  • My most favorite part of the video was when I first saw the electrical stuff with the crazy wiring sitting on the plastic shelf next to the various chemicals. "I have no idea why my house burned down officer..." lmfao...

  • @leamyvideo So, if you want house insureance to be valid if your house burns down because of the device you better not use it... :) I dont know how it is in US but here in Sweden if you connect something that are not approved your insurence may not be valid if something happens... Well but I'm using my inverter anyway (have a 250w inverter) but i only use it when im home.. :) Since i just built my house for 450000$ i don't wanna risk it :(

  • @leamyvideo I'm not selling anything :) .. If they are legal or not depends on what your utility company says about it. If it needs any certifications or not. I guess as you said UL approvement is required in US. Here in Sweden CE marking is required and thoose devices have none of it i think.

    UL: Underwriters Laboratories Inc.

    CSA: Canadian Standards Association

ETL: Originally a mark of ETL Testing Laboratories, now a mark of Intertek Testing Services.

    CE: Conformance European...

  • @shartne That depends how much his wind turbine is producing compared with how much electricity he is using.. :)

Lets say i put up a 10kW turbine.. Then my bill would be 0 or give me money back.. so its a relative question ;)

  • Did it make a noticeable difference on you bill? very curious to know.
