Just bought mine today and I can't wait to try it out.

Is it possible to cook real food with the jetboil or is it only good for boiling water?
-
@adventurecrew If you want to dispose of your used fuel canisters, you could buy yourself a "Crunch-it" key to puncture the empty canister and then you're able to trash it! I got a Jetboil set for Christmas and I LOVE IT!!!! You can find a Crunch-It key on jetboil's website store.

Advise to anyone considering jetboil, the group system is not a worthwhile buy, The boil time is fast but the temperature even on minimum setting burns most food. The design is rubbish the plastic lids warp and become useless instantly, the stove leaked gas and the ignition broke within a month of backpacking. Now 10 months of hiking later the stove resembles any other basement price stove and is utterly useless... buy a primus or MSR instead.. sorry jetboil i did believe in you.. you failed

This stove has never givin me a bit of trouble. I also like the accessories like the coffee press and handing attachment. Also as for it being top heavy, there is a stabilizer available that will also fit inside the cup with the stove, fuel, and coffee press. I give it a 9.5 out of 10.

I just got mine. I love it, but I'll be the first to say it is overpriced crap. The cup does not lock onto the burner. Provides a false sense of safety. The adjusting knob goes from full blast to lost flame in about 1/10th of a turn. It is way to tall. If it sold for about $50, then it would rock. $100 is crazy expensive for what you get.

under survival scenarios the high fuel efficiency is greatly desired to make every ounce of precious fuel count. Its not just the convenience of fast boiling. Obviously its going to fast boil due to the high efficiency.
Who makes that little table? It resembles the GCI but legs are different. Also how do you deal with the pile of partial canisters? I hate to toss them when there's still some left. This seems to be a fault we didn't plan on just like not working well in cold weather.

The table is made by Snowpeak.
It is a very handy table and we use it all of the time.
If we still have some fuel canisters left over we will ship them back home so we dont waste them. If we end up with 1 canister then we will try to find a fellow camper and give them awayas a last resort well leave it in the rental car with hopes that someone will take it. Can anyone else offer any tips to deal with full fuel canisters?

I would say 1 minute or less. It does not take long. By the time your food is ready or your instant coffee is being made you should be able to drop the canister back in the unit.

Good question....
I think I got that at Wal-Mart, but I would imagine any outdoor store would have something similar. They are great chairs - durable and compact. I have one generic one and another made by Thermarest.

Thanks for the comment! We were not able to get the right fuel canister on that trip unfortunately. That big old canister we had did not fit inside of it. That is a great feature to point out!
