I have recently picked up Chinese knots and I am shooting this just to prevent myself from forgetting it in the future. Pls pardon my lack of skills.
This is the first time I made a video. Apologies for the bad qualities.

  • Can u tell me what these knots are used for? What was the rope material? Is it necessary to use double color for these knots?

  • This is called button knot, it is usually seen in the buttons for clothings. You can use any ropes, and you can use only one colour. The reason I used two colour is only for the convenience of identifying which rope goes on top and which goes below....

  • Is this similar to the Monkey Fist? I always get an extra loop that I can't tighten with the monkey fist. Good job on the video,I'm going to study it.

  • Sorry for my late reply, I hardly ever check my comments.

I don't know anything about Monkey Fist... sorry. ¬___¬||

  • Do you know how to create the netting around a bottle or glass float to keep it from cracking? Thank you

  • I'm sorry, I'm not sure how to do that.

  • Awesome tutorial my friend, by far the clearest and easiest to understand, with a little practice.

  • Wonderful video, I don't see any other videos (yet) for making great chinese buttons! Thanks for sharing. Can you tell me whether it would be easier to have the cord pinned down on the board as you loop them or just use the fingers to manipulate the tying?

  • put it around your neck and jump, thanks

  • Awesome vid, nice and straight forwards, even with a little practice. :p
