Petunia's reaction in the book was more realistic. Instead of saying all these things out of the blue, she looks as if she wants to tell Harry something before they leave, but holds back. You can't tell if she's going to miss him, if she regrets how she's treated him, or if she feels like she's losing a link to her sister. That wordless scene spoke more volumes of Petunia's character than this forced display of sentimentality.

This scene should be touching, but really, its just irritating. Petunia has never once shown any regret over her sister's death and she made it her mission in life to remind Harry constantly how worthless his parents were, and now all of a sudden, she's moving from her house and she confides in him something that completely contradicts 17 years of behavior towards him?

Now this scene was too emotional and nothing like Petunia THANK GOD it didint make it into the film!!!!!
