Eric Bell is horribly under-appreciated. His slide work on this is incendiary.
These guys kicked ass in ANY configuration.

thin lizzy must be the most underrated band of all time..from the first to the last studio album all were fucking brilliant...R.I.P Phil

I dare to say that this version is the best "Suicide" version I've ever heard! Mr. Bell stoles the whole show! Deeply unappreciated.

Thin Lizzy deserve so much more views than this! They were one of the best rock bands ever formed. Phil Lynott was a genius in many ways and will be deeply missed by so many. Thin Lizzy never made a bad song! The band shall forever rock on!! :D R.I.P Phill.

@Kirok I think a lot of fans forget how good both Bell and Snowy White were. Just listen to the gutiar work on 'The Rocker' for Bell and 'Birds of Paradise' by Snowy

According to the wikipedia pages, on Oct 10, 2010 they're re-releasing the first three albums as remastered and with extra tracks. The Vagabonds re-release apparently has this live set on it, plus Peel sessions. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet.......

I didn't know that this existed. I feel silly about that, considering how much I love this band. This has quite a different feel than the twin guitar studio version, but I think I like it equally as well. That's because this is just a good song. No matter how you look at it, this is a very good song. Rest in peace Phil. I miss your music.

I love the album version so much. But this one is awesome. Totally different feel to it. Thin Lizzy was a totally different band in the Eric days. anything Thin Lizzy did was great

They never were blues band and Eric era was the best (for me anyways..)
-
I prefer them as a rock band than a blues band.

i got the record its from the Hippodrome Golden green in London

Brilliant - my brother's got the whole set on cassette. I always thought the released version wasn't as good as this. Have you heard My baby's gone and left me (slow blues) -they changed it for the Vagabonds album and it's nowhere near as good as the BBC one - Eric Bell does an AMAZING solo on it.

Yep. It is a good one. I have this whole set, as well as the one they did on the BBC in '74 with the four-piece lineup.
