Preview of new song "Café au lait" Music by John Francis, French Lyrics by Philippe Bertaud. Video features Francis performing the music on a solo ten string classical guitar, live on KCTU TV Wichita Channel 5. Bertaud's French lyrics were added later, even though they were actually recorded July of 2006 for the new album featuring Italian Bassist Roberto Bernardinello. His vocal was time shifted to fit the performance. The album will highlight many Brazilian tunes sang in French, along with instrumentals, both solo and ensemble works. More originals also. Availabe now.

I like it, too. And sometimes I wonder if there be a limit to how many strings can be put on a guitar. Might it be piano envy? All those frets and no extra fingers.

Thanks for your comment! For "Coral Sunset," I use an eleven-string alto guitar. Harp guitars have have as many as twenty. For most of us, it is a desire to increase the range of the instrument and to expand it's repertoire. -jf

It sounds fine on both! It is certainly easier to play on six.
