Prosecutors in the Netherlands have charged three teenaged football players after the death of a linesman during a youth football competition. Richard Nieuwenhuizen, 41, died on Monday after an incident following an Under-17 match in Almere, near Amsterdam on Sunday. He was officiating for the Buitenboys team, in which his son was playing. Police arrested three players, two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old, of the Nieuw Sloten Amsterdam youth team after the incident, in which the linesman fell to the ground. Prosecutors announced on Tuesday they are charging the players with manslaughter, assault and public violence for alleged involvement in a vicious attack on the linesman. Al Jazeera's Lee Wellings reports.

3 years in prison for beating some one to death that you simply had a difference of opinion with? What do they get for just maiming some one they disagree with, made to sit in the corner in time-out?

Cool you say that about religion....He actually said not to have one. They are man-made. Do not put the Most High in a box....the Holy Spirit is moving amongst people as we speak and revealing TRUTH, not religion. My testimony is what it is. I believe whole-heartedly that Yeshua/Jesus is the one and only true Messiah. Have a RELATIONSHIP with Him. Pray to the Father in private and present Him with your questions about Jesus/Yeshua. He already knows your heart. Be humble, be real about it. He is.

Which one is he? The muslim one, the christian one or manmybe the Zoroastrian one. If he's the christian one is it best to be catholic or protestant? It's a bit confusing for someone who believes in science to know what to do when this lord chap shows up. I'm sure he'll be fine if you don't follow a religion as he wouldn't be a small minded, bitter little deity.

No, Peter. Just pray to be found worthy and instead of mocking or scoffing. Just know I have nothing to gain in this world by saying what I posted. There is nothing new under the sun...and His return is imminent. I will not comment any further here. The LORD is coming soon. Get ready. Be ready.

Pfft, In America kids under 17 rarely get major treatment like an adult. A kid here would be put in juvi (kids only jail) until 18 and then let out with a GPS ankle monitor, locked in his home for only a few years. 3 years does seem weak, but I'd hope America and Europe do harsher punishment for kids like this in the future, I will definitely vote for it if need be. Imagine if you saw your dad get kicked to death at your own soccer game... you'd get nightmares seeing a ball every day of life D:

in sweden happened the same. Youth of IFK Goteborg were beaten and ceased by Iraqi people, residents in Sweden of course, fans of a local Iraqi team. The poor young swedish players had to run out to save their life.. In their own country..

well done Holland.. You wanted Marroco, Surinam, Congo.. Please enjoy. I see that you are not allowed to mention "they were morrocans". Nobody deserves to die like this, sorry for his family. I blame all "multicultural" activists it's only their fault
