"Illegal bird-hunting is a widespread phenomenon on the Maltese Islands. To document the poaching in autumn 2008 the Commitee against bird slaughter (CABS) sent a group of 24 international ornithologists to Malta. The Maltese hunters' federation (FKNK) has repeatedly issued xenophobic press statements threatening birdwatchers and CABS personell. Following these statements hunters in the field started to threat and compel our volunteers on a daily basis.

Completely agree with you. A lot of these people are simply morons lacking any sort of real education. I am not against hunting. I am very much for hunting, but not with this sort of mentality attached. Even where I hunt in the states, many Maltese poach. Two years ago two drunk Maltese men shot and killed 8 does on state land in one day. They left every single one in the woods. Way to disgrace our people.
