This video shows traditional St. Lucia Quadrille dancing performed by the Dugard Primary students at the 2008 Choiseul Village Council swearing in ceremony. The students are wearing the St. Lucia flag colors rather than the traditional red plaid outfits known at madras.

The dancers looked so accomplished I did not realise they were primary school at first. Although it is a European dance it seems as if there are some touches that make it different and special to St Lucia. Surely there is a place for all types of dance, they serve different needs and require different skills. I enjoyed watching them dance they are very good.
