Single Payer Health Care Advocates Visit Rep. Brown-Waites Office Where Evasion/Obfuscation Abound

A typical visit to the congresswoman's office. I have visited both with and without video documentation and have been met with the same quality of Hurry up and get out of here kind of response from Brown-Waite sidekick Shirley (blonde).




Some people who participated found the back and forth appalling. Personally, I am well acclimated to either the congresswoman or her confederates doing everything in their power to avoid answering questions. Some of those with whom I entered the building obviously are not.




When you have people like Shirley or Ginny who are perfectly willing to defame and lie about just about anyone or anything then a smart person protects him or herself.

An example has been Ginny's basic campaign premise both in 2006 and 2008 that I am a violent person who in one instance concocted by associates of Ginny and unscrupulously reported by the press, that I attempted to assault the late Harvey Waite in front of no less than 350 people and at least 20 Sheriff's Deputies after delivering a very fine performance in debating the congresswoman in Citrus County in 2006.




I of course have no arrest record and have never so much as had a cross word with the late Mr. Waite or even so much as shaken his hand, yet I am depicted by the papers in 2008 as having been in a scuffle or physical confrontation with someone whom I have never in my life physically touched, or for that matter even responded to with a cross word?




I am a licensed Nurse Practitioner and could not retain my licensure as such if such lowball tactics carried any water.

Another example is the congresswoman's response to a question posed by a BayNews 9 reporter following her victory on election night in 2008 stating that she refused to debate John because "he has a propensity for violence." Only the last of many "excuses" given by the congresswoman in the 2008 general election.

Back to Health Care... The declining economy may well end up being the impetus for implementation of a national health care plan. My conversations with case managers in the hospital who detail the ever increasing numbers of "self pay" patients details the problem.

The fiscal integrity of many hospitals is becoming precarious as they find themselves increasingly unable to secure payment from the increasing volume of patients who are uninsured.

Stories are already coming out about hospitals closing their doors due to such issues. Medicare would benefit dramatically from a National Plan with a Medicare for All publicly funded option. As Medicare for All enrollees of all ages entered the system paying their affordably priced premiums into Medicare, the fiscal picture of Medicare would be dramatically improved by the influx of millions of healthy patients into the system while access to health care would be greatly improved for all America.

I am well acquainted w/ Shirley who is an apple fallen from the same tree as her corrupt boss. I question your credentials as an architect of any policy much less one as complex as Health care. Ginny is in your same class as well. That's why she would not debate because she is bereft of knowledge. Russell does lay down for anyone. Shirley was being nasty and John was firm but polite.

We could use a few like him to hold people like this public non-servant accountable because nobody else is.

Russell is the authority on health care issues in these parts. There are few people with Mr. Russell's qualifications who would be willing to step up for the people in the very strong way that he has. Bravo to John for standing up to that snippy snip Shirley!
