Solomon Islands - Wristbands and Soccerballs Program

Watch how Caritas Australia use sport to bring young people together in the Solomon Islands and address underlying issues in the Aiuki community. As kids played games they could think about the values associated with each of the themes and the community formation objectives.
The wrist band and soccer ball activities were developed around Caritas Australias community formation programs. The four themes of the program - leadership, peace building, gender equity and environment - are underpinned by the Catholic Social Teachings.
