  • Thanks for all the support! The tournament included Open and NTRP divisions. The girl I played is from my home town and plays for Cal Poly. She told me she's been playing twice a day!

The guy Jay played had ugly strokes, but extremely effective. He could stand in no man's land and hit everything back to the baseline.

  • Thought u both had some awkward opponents in terms of their styles.

  • Next time you guys will win.

  • kana you're hot, unlucky btw and jason, no disrespect, but how the hell did you get beat off of him, he is terrible, he gets the ball in but he has no execution, you're a good player and you should have wiped him off the court, good luck next time

  • @dunkingpro LOL, Alot of rec. players have trouble playing against these "terrible" winning players. :)

  • Where's Season 3 of Gotta Want It?

Kana and Jason nice effort and thanks for sharing your journey.

One way to beat Jason's opponent is hit short or hit a nice low passing shot .

For Kana's opponent, only suggest hitting bh slices and fh baseline overheads if your uncomfortable with high loopy balls like me.

The most surefire way to improve is play against the people you lose too.

  • The guy jay played...im just a highschool varsity player, and a freshman...but from my experience, you said he can stand in no mans land and get everything back to the baseline, if he's doing that, you need to hit the ball with more power and spin it down to his feet, the only place he can hit it is up, then close into the net and finish the point. He was only a pusher, move him around and be consistent, it's as easy as that.

  • a 3-set, 3 and a half hour match is nothing, i played one set that long, talk about sore and tired

  • haha that guy sucked

  • man hate those push and volleyers that constantly give you flat balls or paceless balls. people here who think they can beat this #1 seed guy easily is obviously very inexperienced in any real tournament or match play. these guys usually have decades of experiences and are especially deadly against Jason's extreme western forehand. But I really think a less extreme western forehand can help Jason with the consistency.

  • #1 seed? no waayy!! my grandma plays much better lol!!! Kana plays much better great job!!! have fun!!
