@Gulfporter There is a star somewhere in this galaxy that has a 1 perfect 1 trillion carat diamond at it's core. There are carbon worlds that routinely rain diamonds on it's surface.

All the racists say go back to Africa, useless country, think about that when you buy your white girlfriend a diamond ring. Seriously. Why can't the white man stay out of Africa if he hates Africans?

I don't get why people pay big bucks for diamonds. I really don't get it. They hold no fascination for me beyond whatever industrial use they might have. If I can't tell the difference between CubicZ and a real diamond, then what difference is there? And wouldn't you feel stupid getting killed by a mugger who wanted to steal your CubicZ rings?

The diamond trade should stay. It's just that we should control the diamonds. They're mined in Africa. Africa for the Africans.

What Tap is saying is true though
the unemployment rates in parts of africa are unbelievable high, if the diamond trade is removed from africa the little bit of money some people DO make will be completey gone and they wont be able to survive so instead of losing limbs, they'll starve to death. I hate to agree with what hes saying. I believe that the europeans have completely raped africa and show no remorse. I hope one day Africa will become the great place it once was.

The diamond industry has been so corrupt for so long. There's no point to keep buying them anyway. Moissanite is a beautiful alternative and is a nature-based process from carbon material found in a meteorite in Arizona. Henri Moissan discovered a way to create 'star-diamonds' that are a 9.25 hardness and have no blood on them! It's what I want :)
