Here's footage, courtesy of GlenOak hurdles coach Chad Palmer, of Derrick Williams running for the GlenOak Golden Eagles as a senior during the 2001 state meet at Dayton's Welcome Stadium. The first race is the semi heat of the 400-meter relay. Williams takes a handoff from Matt Miller to run the second leg before passing the baton to Josh Anderson. The second race is a semifinal heat of the 300 hurdles, which Williams easily won before claiming a state title the next day. The final race is the semifinals of the 1,600 relay, where Williams took the baton from Derrick Iannamorelli. Williams ran the Eagles back into the top four so they could advance to the finals.
