@Berkanl7 Wenger wanted to sign him since Cana was 16 years old,but he didnt went to Arsenal cause of VISA problem . Diaby is very good player,but when Cana was in France he were the most popular player there,were the Captain of the best french team and in 2008 he was choosen as best Deffensiv Midfielder in Europe ! in 2010 since he transfer in Sunderland become the Captain,and the media Ranked him as the TOP 3 best transfer in Premier League together with Vermaelen ! ;)

@exlyou He's not as good as you're suggesting he is. He has a lot of heart and he doesn't run from a challenge but he's quite a limited player. There is no way he is good enough to play for Arsenal, so much so he was actually struggling to get into the Sunderland side near to the end of last season. He was kept out of the side by a youth player called Meyler who unfortunately suffered a bad injury and has been sidelined for months.

@magnet101 Lorik Cana was the Captain of Sunderland since his debut with that team so how can he struggle to get in first 11 ? At the end of the Season he got injured and after that he wasnt capable to play 90 minutes cause of that injury but always played just a half (at the end of Season) !Steve Bruce said that Lorik Cana is one of the best players that he have ever trained,and in 90% of the matches that Cana played with Sunderland he always have  been choosen as the best player of Sunderland

@exlyou I'm a Sunderland season ticket holder. Apart froma few good games at the beginning of the season for the most part Cana underperformed. There weren't too many Sunderland fans bothered when he left. It may have been a shock but it certainly hasn't affected the team. He's a hard working player who tries to do the basics right. He's nothing special and no where near as good as you're making him out to be.

i still see that Sunderland Fans miss him and are bothered,go to Lorik Cana fan page in Facebook or in youtube and there are a lot of sunderland fans saying that they Miss their Captain ! anyway that is your opinion, he is absolutally one of the best DMF in europe,and especially when he play for Albania as a Center back he become one of the Best Deffenders

@magnet101 mate. i am an arsenal fan. and lorik cana is much better than frimpong n song. this guy will fight to the last 90 minute. i have not seen anybody that has that much energy and strength.. frimmy cant frimpong Cana. sorry gotta say it how i see it..
