http://www.revolutionaudio.ca Revolution Audio Canada presents Melodyne Editor. The first Melodyne Plug-in with DNA - Direct Note Access technology. This video is from NAMM 2009 in California. With the integration of DNA, however, even the harmonies in an audio file can now be seen, accessed and shaped—note by note. Users can quite literally intervene in the chords of their recordings and change individual notes within them. This offers sensational new possibilities for the correction and refashioning of audio.

  • lol...yeah...melodyne dna...blah blah blah...how many more years are they gonna talk about it....wake me up when they actually stop talking about it and release it

  • cool brother, gracias.

  • You can sing a melody in and have a midi piano play back the audio information...check the DNA info...Like your tracks with your Korg.

  • No. Its not MIDI. Its audio that you can manipulate like MIDI, but its still audio.

DNA means you can record a chord, load it into Melodyne as audio, and it will separate the individual notes of the chord, allowing you to change the chord. Just like with MIDI, but its audio.

Amazing, i don't understand how its possible. I can't wait for it!

  • I second this!

  • very soon... ...we've been hearing this for about a year now!

  • yes

  • Thanxx for the shout back , waiting for DNA to become available..... now i know why there were applause at the Namm show over this software.

  • yes i beleive so, you would sing your part then copy and past those midi notes to the sound instrument you want to use

  • Can i sing melodies in and get midi info back... a piano tune from a vocal input with melody.
