Saturday August 22nd 2009, 19 year old Chun-Wen Huang (USA / Taiwan) performing the 2nd movement of the Brahms Violin Concerto in D major Op.77 at the International Violin Competition Sion Valais 2009, presided by Shlomo Mintz. Chun-Wen Huang was awarded 1st Prize the Audience Prize at the 2009 Competition.

  • For the first two minutes, the oboe has the big solo. Why is the footage of the bassoon, clarinet, and horn? It doesn't show the oboe one bit. Horrible for people who don't know what each instrument sounds like. They're gonna think that the bassoon sounds like an oboe. Not a very educational video.
