These matches come from a tourney that went down last October in Niigata. A bunch of bruisers came in from out of town and turned a local ranking battle into a special event. Solo 3on3 with no duplicate characters allowed.

Definitely was rooting for Komoda for having the awesome team of DeeJay, Blanka, Guile ALL ST.

Pony still is the best Zangief player (and in some cases, Hawk). And him choosing CE Ken was definitely a sight to see, so that made me happy.

@ZeroNobo There exist 5 versions of Street Fighter 2, "CE" and "ST" are abbreviations for two of them. CE being Champion Edition (2nd game) and ST being Super Turbo, the 5th and last. A sixth version came out that allowed you to pick any version of a character across the 5 games, ST only allowed you to pick ST characters and their Super counterparts (4th game in series). Jamiany was probably referring to the fact that Komoda didn't use any CE characters in a respectful way.

Great play by Komoda as Deejay vs Hawk in round 2 of first match, love the combo's! Great combo's and cheap play by Pony as Ken in the second match! However, Komoda, being the Blanka master came back to destroy Ken in the next match! In the last match, it is so difficult to Zangief to get close to good players who know proper spacing. Pony should of tried to grab Blanka at the end there, it might have worked!
