Harmonica: Ray Steelman's version of the Ozark Mountain Daredevil hit, If You Want To Get to Heaven. This is an Audience Cut so It was recorded from beginning to end with no stopping, editing or dubbing of harmonica. ..a live cut... You will notice a slight word change in one spot to soften the lyrics for particular audiences. Ray taught Tommy Allison to play the second harmonica part and Tommy does a great job of playing the second harmonica on this. This is played almost Identical to the original hit by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils where they also used two harmonicas.. This song, played with one harmonica, won Ray one of his Alabama state harmonica championships in the 1980's. It became a part of Ray's live performances soon after that. Ray's picking buddies, Tim Gibbs and Phil Clanton, are also are featured on the other instruments. A studio version of this is available and is coming as soon as it can be prepared for You Tube.
Watch for Ray's 2010 series.
