Chuck McCann, one of the co-founders of the famous Laurel & Hardy appreciation society "Sons of the Desert", often portrrayed Oliver Hardy in commercials and other "special occasions"- in fact, his local WNEW-TV New York children's show featured Larry Harmon's "Laurel & Hardy" cartoons in 1966-'67, and Chuck often appeared as "Ollie" on the show during that period.
