The report, Death Sentences and Executions in 2009, reveals that at least 714 people were executed in 18 countries and at least 2001 people were sentenced to death in 56 countries last year.

This excludes the thousands of executions that were likely to have taken place in China, where information on the death penalty remains a state secret.

  • We work actively to achieve worldwide abolition of the death penalty here at Death Watch;SD. It's inhumane, hypocritical, and dangerous. Innocent people die, and if you bother to argue with me on this you obviously don't know enough about it. Please check out our channel if you too are against the death penalty

  • @Mattyb88ful

No China is not surpassed by any country, it executes more people than all other countries together (2000+).

  • Have you run a country with 1.3 billion people ?

There is no better government than CCP !

Which government is able to lift up literacy rate from 40% to 91% in few decades, if not CCP ? Which government is able to transform from one of the poorest country to 2nd largest economy in merely 2 decades, if not CCP? Don't forget there are 1.3 billon citizen in China, full of obstacles daily to deal with. Now, compare China to India. Why India could not make it, yet they did not suffer WW2 ?

  • personal attack you mean ?

Not just against you, but your entire population by the way. because of of you are typical

  • What right do you have to take away another persons life?

There is a lot I admire about China; however, it has a poor human rights record. It is probably only surpassed by Saudi Arabia, North Korea and a few other countries.

  • Did watch any of the video?

  • Total rubbish. The nations that have abolished the death penalty do not experience a rise in these crimes. The facts don't reflect your opinion.

  • @caonimazibai If all you can do is throw ad-homenim attacks and repeat the same arguments, then you have no creability and therefore are not worth dealing with.

  • Do you think Chinese not yet learnt from Opium war ? It is the 'drug' that ruin China (Qing dynasty). Guess who was the culprit ? British fuck !

Now the fucking British dare to question China on drug prosecution matter. Fucking double standard western bias media never looked at mirror about themselves before they pointing finger against somebody else.

  • you should stop taking drugs & shut the fuck up. In China, no drug dealers can escape death penalty. For the safety of 1.3 billion citizen, all drug dealers must be wiped out once spotted.
